    Benefits of semiconductor technology


      Abound Solar modules utilize the latest Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) technology. CdTe technology has been in use since the early 1970s and offers several inherent advantages:
      • Semiconductor provides better performance in low-light conditions relative to crystalline silicon


      • Abound Solar modules maintain efficiency better in higher temperature conditions. Therefore, the power produced by CdTe-based systems will show smaller fluctuations due to ambient temperature and radiation absorption.


      • Abound Solar modules offer higher efficiency than amorphous silicon thin-film technologies, providing greater power output per area.
      • Utilizing glass substrate and a proven semiconductor, Abound Solar modules are able to be manufactured with minimal complexity, leading to lower costs and greater reliability.
