Applications

Solar photovoltaic systems are typically comprised of arrays of solar modules installed in an orientation facing the sun to optimize exposure to the sun’s irradiance. A suitable site is selected, typically ground- or roof-mounted and a racking or mounting system is specified.  The modules utilize the photovoltaic effect to convert the sun’s energy into direct current electricity. The direct current is converted by an inverter to alternating current which can be fed into the electrical grid or used locally.
